About me
I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist offering psychological therapy to individuals across all ages. Whatever has brought you here, whether you are navigating a specific difficulty or simply feel that something in your life needs to shift, I aim to offer a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space where you feel free to speak openly.
I have worked across NHS and third-sector services with people at all stages of life, from children and young people through to older adults. My experience spans a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, psychosis, eating difficulties, ADHD and autism, as well as experiences that do not always fit neatly within a diagnostic label.
I have a particular interest in supporting people through periods of significant change, whether in relationships, work, identity or family life. Having grown up in Germany and built my life and career in the UK, I also have a personal understanding of what it can mean to live between cultures, and the particular questions around belonging and identity that this can bring.
Therapeutically, I work in an integrative way, drawing on a range of approaches tailored to you and what you hope to get from therapy. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and systemic and narrative approaches.
Therapy with me typically begins with developing a shared understanding of what has brought you to this point, exploring your current circumstances, earlier experiences and relationships, and the ways you have come to cope with difficult feelings or situations. I find it helpful to approach these patterns with curiosity, understanding why they developed and what they may have once offered, before gently exploring whether something different might now serve you better.
Above all, I believe that feeling safe, heard and genuinely understood is the foundation of any meaningful therapeutic work. I see therapy as something we do together, a collaborative process in which your experience, your pace and your feedback all matter.
Taking the step to seek support is not always easy, and finding the right therapist can feel like an important decision to make. I offer a free 15-minute introductory call so we can have an initial conversation about what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping for, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
