About me
With over 30 years working in mental health services, and 20 as a qualified therapist, I bring both depth of experience and passion to my practice. I’ve supported individuals through a wide range of challenges, and I remain committed to providing compassionate, tailored care. My approach balances evidence-based techniques with a collaborative, human connection, ensuring clients feel heard and empowered. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, or life transitions, I’m here to help you navigate your journey with warmth and expertise.
I specialise in treating trauma, including PTSD from single or complex events. I also provide treatment for depression and all types of anxiety, including panic, social anxiety, and health-related anxiety. I can help you overcome most phobias, such as needle phobia, blood phobia, and fears around activities like driving. One innovative approach is to use VR (virtual reality) to help overcome phobias.
Additionally, I work with individuals to build self-esteem, confidence, and assertiveness. I treat a diverse range of clients and understand the unique challenges faced by certain groups or professions, such as veterans, first responders, teachers, and older adults.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BABCP-accredited therapist with 20 years of direct therapeutic practice. I’ve provided care across respected organizations, including The Priory, BUPA, and the NHS. My background spans working with diverse populations in both private and public sectors. I’m qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR, working with clients facing anxiety, trauma, and complex mental health needs. This foundation allows me to meet clients with both expertise and empathy.
I am also a BABCP-accredited Clinical Supervisor, and I can supervise trainee or qualified therapists
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
