Counselling and psychotherapy aim to significantly help our ability to manage our lives more effectively. If you are seeking help to find a better understanding of yourself, others and life events, this is the time to talk to a professionally trained counsellor who can support you during your time of need to work through your difficulties.
I offer Psychodynamic counselling, EMDR and Transference Focused Psychotherapy TFP, for individual adults only.
I am registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) data protection and am enhanced DBS Registered. As an Accredited Member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I adhere to their Ethical Framework and their Standard Codes of Practice.

Training, qualifications & experience
As an experienced therapist I work both face to face and online offering psychodynamic counselling, EMDR and Transference Focused Psychotherapy (TFP) which helps to facilitate discovery of unconscious processes and defence mechanisms that perhaps worked well for you in developmental years but no longer serve you well in present day relationships. My experience includes 15 years working in institutional and organisational settings in the public and private sector. I work through a psychoanalytic lens of psychodynamic counselling with interrelationships difficulties, acute and enduring chronic mental health disorders and co-morbidities such as anxiety and depression.
2017 - Present Private Practise - Psychodynamic Counselling supportive treatment, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing EMDR and Transference Focused Psychotherapy TFP.
2022-2024 Veterans Outreach Support - Psychotherapist
Psychodynamic Counselling and EMDR Therapy for PTSD, cPTSD, moral injury and co-morbid mental health issues for veterans and their families.
2017-2019: NHS SW London & St George's Mental Health Trust. Springfield Wisteria Ward. .Working with inpatients suffering from eating disorders and trauma to compassionately support and enhance a healthy autonomic nervous system to regulate emotions and to attend to the interrelationships between mind, body physiology, emotions and behaviour with Mindfulness and yoga group work.

Member organisations

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
