About me
Do you find yourself stuck and continuing to repeat the same patterns of behaviour, despite your efforts to change, or find yourself over-analysing everything and feeling overwhelmed? I believe emotional distress is our way of trying to communicate something that needs to be heard and understood.
I will support you to process your experiences and feelings in a safe, confidential, and non judgmental setting, helping you rebuild a secure sense of self that will allow you to feel calmer and more centred.
Therapy allows you the space and time, to take a deeper look into aspects of your life you would like to develop or change. Together, we’ll explore the root causes and uncover patterns that may be keeping you stuck, helping you develop effective strategies to manage your symptoms and move forward. I will help you to better understand what's driving these feelings and help you build practical tools and coping mechanisms that you can use in your daily life to create the lasting change you desire.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am trained as an integrative psychodynamic therapist and counsellor and also as a Life coach. My approach is warm, empathetic, and tailored to your needs.
Using an integrative approach, I draw on different philosophies and techniques according to your needs and preferred ways of working. These include humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behaviour therapy, and solution focused brief therapy.
My experience spans agency, charity, and private practice work. As an accredited member of the BACP and I adhere to their ethical guidelines.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

The first session
Choosing the right therapist can be daunting. For this reason, I offer a free, no obligation 15 minute consultation so you can see if I might be the right therapist for you.
We would touch on what has brought you to therapy, what you are hoping to get from it and most importantly if we might work together. I believe this is important because it is the quality of this relationship which determines the success of the therapy.
There is space for you to ask any questions you might have about me or the process. If you decide to go ahead, we will agree a suitable day and time to work into your schedule.
