About me
You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or stuck in patterns that are difficult to change. Perhaps you are struggling with intrusive thoughts, OCD, stress, relationships, or a significant life transition. Or maybe you cannot quite explain what is wrong—you simply know that life has started to feel harder than it used to.
Whatever has brought you here, reaching out for support can feel like a big step. You may be worried about being judged, unsure where to start, or wondering whether therapy could really help. You do not need to have a diagnosis or the right words. We can begin with where you are.
I’m Dr Anna Lose, a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and a Lecturer with over a decade of experience supporting adults, as well as children, young people, and families in the NHS and private practice. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
Together, we can gently explore what you have been experiencing and begin to understand the thoughts, feelings, relationships, and patterns that may be contributing to your difficulties. We can then work towards practical and meaningful changes, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person. I draw on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness-based approaches, systemic frameworks, and psychodynamic perspectives. I will work with you to find an approach that fits your needs, goals, preferences, and circumstances.
I support people experiencing anxiety, stress, OCD, phobias, depression, body image concerns, relationship and family difficulties, and adjustment to life changes and health conditions.
I also offer coaching for personal and professional development. Coaching provides a supportive, forward-looking space to clarify what matters to you, build confidence, strengthen motivation, navigate transitions, and develop practical strategies to overcome obstacles.
You do not have to wait until things become more difficult before seeking help. Please get in touch to arrange an initial conversation. This will give us an opportunity to talk about what you are looking for, answer any questions you may have, and consider together whether I could be the right person to support you.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
