Anna Borowski MBACP
I am an empathic and warm counsellor based in Maldon, Essex who works with adults over 18 years of age. I have a relaxed and friendly approach to my work and can offer a confidential space where we will work at a pace you feel comfortable with. I will not tell you what to do but instead help you to find your own solutions.
At the heart of my work is the quality of the relationship with my clients. I take time to build a trusting and respectful relationship where you will be accepted and not judged. By talking about your experiences, I can help you to gain clarity about your thoughts and emotions which can reduce anxiety and result in subtle but positive changes.
I have worked with a range of clients with a variety of difficulties including depression, anxiety, low self esteem, bereavement, obsessive tendencies and relationship problems. I use psychodynamic principles to help my clients understand how events and experiences from the past can have an impact on thoughts, feelings and behaviour in the present.
I know that deciding to have counselling can be a step into the unknown so I welcome any questions or concerns you might have. Please feel free to get in touch, in confidence, using the “Email me” button above. You can also visit my website to get a feel for what is involved.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
