About me
I am a warm and passionate psychotherapist. I am deeply committed to helping my clients escape the grip of depression and heal from past trauma. My main interest is in alleviating suffering and making life more bearable for people. I work with individuals and couples.
I absolutely love the work I do and I’m extremely serious about it. However, I also have a great sense of humour and playfulness and bring that into my therapeutic work when it’s appropriate and of service to my clients.
My training is in Transactional Analysis and my approach is relational. This just means that we use the relationship between you and me to understand more about other relationships in your life. For example, you might push me away if we get too close and you’ve noticed you do this with people all the time. Maybe you worry what I’ll think of you and this is familiar in other areas of your life. Maybe you feel pissed off and have never been allowed to express it before. Maybe I remind you of someone…. All this can then be explored safely, in a way you wouldn’t be able to do with other people in your life. This is why you might hear me ask, “what’s going on between us right now?” or, “what happened for you when I said that?”. It might seem like weird therapy-talk if you’re not used to it! But if you wonder, “why is she asking me that?”, you can just ask me and I will explain what I am getting at. I’m not a mysterious ‘blank slate’ therapist. It’s a conversation. It’s a relationship.
I have a particular personal interest in depression. It's a privilege to be involved in my clients’ recovery and development. Clients say they can feel me walking alongside them when exploring painful experiences and that our therapy has helped them change their lives for the better. When we can see the depression lifting and my clients say they no longer hate themselves I am deeply moved to have been their witness.
Alongside individual psychotherapy, I am trained to work with couples and relationships. I support couples to improve communication, to have better fights, to work on intimacy or trust issues. I believe that good relationships are really at the core of a good life, whether that be romantic relationships, friendships or family relationships. Understanding your relational patterns and what keeps happening is key. I am trained to work with Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) and provide an affirming and inclusive space for clients from LGBTQIA+ communities.
I have extensive experience and training working with neurodivergent clients, particularly in my work as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor with university students over many years. I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way and seek to respect and accommodate different communication styles and ways of processing information.
I offer weekly face-to-face sessions in Central London, close to London Bridge Station, and in East London, a short walk from Bethnal Green Station. I also work online.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
