I am a BACP registered counsellor and the founder of this online practice. I provide a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgmental space from the comfort of your own home. My approach is integrated and person-centred; I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you as you navigate its challenges.

I have a wealth of experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from children and adolescents to adults and professionals. My background includes significant roles at Place2Be and various schools, where I supported both students and staff navigating a variety of complex life challenges.Key areas of my professional experience include:

Adult & Professional Support: I have extensive experience counselling adults, including teachers and school staff, helping them manage workplace stress, burnout, and personal issues.

Crisis & Risk Management: I am highly skilled in conducting risk assessments and developing collaborative safety plans for individuals experiencing self-harm, suicidal ideation, and domestic violence.

Trauma-Informed Support: My work has deeply involved supporting those who have experienced trauma, helping them find stability and safe ways to process their experiences.

Neurodiversity & Student Support: I have managed assessments and therapeutic support for students referred for a wide range of mental health needs, ensuring holistic care for the whole family.

Clinical Coordination: Beyond direct therapy, I have managed waiting lists and clinical assessments, ensuring individuals receive the right support at the right time.

My experience with both young people and adults has taught me that regardless of age, everyone needs a "Quiet Harbour", a space where they are truly heard. I bring the clinical rigour of my safeguarding and professional-support background into my private practice to ensure the highest standards of care.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
