About me
Are you struggling with difficult thoughts or feelings, experiencing challenges in your relationships, or finding yourself caught in patterns that are hard to understand or change?
I offer an empathic, non-judgemental space where you can talk things through, feel heard and explore what’s happening. Together, we can make sense of what you’re experiencing and find new ways of moving forward.
I’m a psychodynamic counsellor working with adults (aged 18 and over) who are experiencing a range of emotional and relational difficulties. I offer both open-ended, long-term counselling and focused short-term therapy over 12 sessions.
The psychodynamic approach recognises that our early relationships and experiences can shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and respond to the world around us. We may not always be consciously aware of these influences, yet they can continue to affect our thoughts, feelings and behaviour in the present. As a result, we may find ourselves caught in patterns, even when we want things to be different.
Psychodynamic counselling offers an opportunity to deepen your self-awareness and explore how past experiences may be influencing your life now. As you gain a greater understanding of what lies beneath the surface, you can discover new ways of responding, opening up the possibility of meaningful change.
I’ll approach our work with curiosity and sensitivity, taking your lead on what feels important at a pace that feels right for you. I see counselling as a collaborative process, in which we can explore your experiences and make sense of what emerges together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Bereavement counselling:
I have a particular interest in bereavement counselling and have undertaken specialist training with Cruse Bereavement Support. I subsequently volunteered with the charity, working individually with people experiencing grief.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a psychodynamic counsellor at Highgate Counselling Centre in north London.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Support for architects:
I'm committed to supporting people in the built environment sector - architects, landscape architects, engineers. With ten years’ experience as a landscape architect, I’ve gained a first-hand insight into some of the particular challenges of working in this sector. I can help you explore a range of work-related issues - including stress and anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism and burnout - while considering how these may connect with your deeper emotional patterns.
