About me

Are you pregnant or in the early stages of parenthood? Are you struggling with issues like anxiety, depression, birth trauma, parenting or relationship difficulties?

As a qualified Clinical Psychologist, I  can help you understand the reasons for your difficulties and help you achieve real change. Here are some of the main perinatal and early parenthood difficulties I work with:

  • Perinatal Anxiety
  • Perinatal OCD
  • Perinatal/ Postnatal Depression
  • Low self-esteem and low confidence
  • Birth Trauma / PTSD
  • Couples therapy and relationship dynamics

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to your needs, such as Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to improve self-esteem and parenting confidence, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support healing after a traumatic birth, and Couples Therapy (informed by Systemic Family Therapy) to help couples share perspectives and strengthen communication. These are examples of how I use these approaches, with the focus always being on your aims and regaining confidence in what matters most to you.

After experiencing a traumatic birth and spending time in the NICU with my baby, I know how overwhelming pregnancy, childbirth, and the early days of parenthood can feel. That experience shaped my passion for helping others navigate the transitions and unexpected experiences which can come with this stage in life.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, this is why I offer a free consultation to discuss your goals and explore how I can help. Please email to get in touch and I'll get back to you shortly.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a Clinical Psychologist in Wimbledon with a decade of NHS experience. I specialise in perinatal mental health (the period from pregnancy and 12 months after childbirth), early parenthood, and supporting couples.

Having completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East Anglia, I am trained to a high standard and I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I supervise within the NHS and offer ongoing training to mental health teams. Additionally, I am a published author on the topic of culturally sensitive perinatal mental health care and my practice is anti-racist.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
