About me

Sometimes life can be challenging - dealing with anxiety, depression, relationships or family issues can be difficult. Talking these issues through with a qualified counsellor can help. Whether it is something that is happening now or something that has happened to you in the past, talking to someone who is not a family member or a friend, can give you the space and freedom to explore your situation fully, in a safe and confidential environment where you can be yourself and explore your feelings without judgement.

During therapy we will create an honest and trusting relationship in which we can work together in an open and respectful way to fully explore the issues that you chose to discuss. I believe that you have the resources to enable you to make the right decisions for you and we will work together to explore your situation fully to empower you to make any decisions and deal more positively with what is challenging or worrying you. Whether it is through making a change, or gaining acceptance of a life event, we will work together to create a positive move forward in your life.

If you've lost your mojo and want to get back on track, I can help you.

I work face to face at my home in Weston Turville or remotely using Zoom or telephone, you can choose which works best for you.

Some prefer online therapy (zoom) or telephone, as it saves travelling, as you are able to stay at home, maybe sitting in your favourite armchair with a cup of tea, we have a safe and secure way to connect and explore what is troubling you to enable you to feel unburdened. If  however you prefer to come to Weston Turville you are very welcome.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
