About me
Maybe you are reading my profile and you feel, having tried different therapy approaches, that you are looking for something different. Choosing the right therapy for you is sometimes challenging.
My name is Anette. For the last 11 years, at the heart of my work is to to heal with the help of my horses to get clarity and to understand your true needs and desires hidden by your symptoms of anxiety, depression, Trauma, PTSD or Complex PTSD.
I am a AAHEP registered Equine Integrative Therapist based in East Sussex.
My approach integrates neurobiology, reconnection to nature, ego states/parts work, mindful practises (breathing techniques, bilateral music...), recognising that trauma is stored in your nervous system and regulating it back to safety. This approach creates neural pathways to transform negative emotions, anxiety, depression, attachment Trauma, PTSD and Complex PTSD.
When combined with the help of my beautiful horses, this method gains additional healing power.
Meeting and being with and around horses will help to regulate your Nervous System until your body feels safe and you feel safe in your body. Only then we can start processing your challenges and symptoms. Your body and mind will start to feel the difference between feeling and thinking about connection with horses, self and others. This bypasses the logical part of your brain so we can find the answers and resolutions for your healing from the feeling part of the brain and body.
My horses and me are based at my beautiful farm and therapy centre in the East Sussex countryside, providing you with a safe and tranquil space to just be without judgment and feeling welcomed for who you are.
