Andrew Smith - MSc Psych, MBACP
About me
My name is Andrew Smith and I am a qualified therapist with experience working privately and within the NHS supporting adults and younger people across Hampshire and Surrey.
Talking therapies give people the space and time to explore issues that they experience daily and help them in achieving a goal whatever it may be. I have worked with people to;
* Help them feel more relaxed
* Increase their confidence
* Release themselves from stress
* Address causes of anxiety
* Overcome a fear
* Take control of a habit or addiction (such as over-eating or smoking)
* Feel more motivated to achieve their goals
* Look on life with more positivity
Each problem a person experiences is unique so please get in touch and let's talk about how we could work together.
In addition to having my own practice I am a Youth Counsellor in the West Surrey and North East Hampshire Youth Counselling Service, part of Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) meaning I am fully DBS certified. I work in private practice located in Aldershot as well as The Eaves Counselling and Psychology Services in Farnham. I also offer online or telephone appointments in addition to face-to-face sessions.
I am passionate about helping people explore the problems they experience in their lives. With me, we work together so get in touch and let's talk more!

Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
