About me
Sometimes you know exactly what's wrong. Other times, it's just a sense that something isn't right, and you can't quite put it into words. Either way, that's okay - that's what this space is for.
I'm an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, working with adults of all ages from all walks of life. I help with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, and the impact of past experiences or trauma. Sometimes people come to a crossroads: a job loss, a divorce, a change that's left them uncertain about who they are or where they're heading.
I offer a calm, confidential space to talk things through without fear of judgement. As a pluralistic therapist, I draw on a range of approaches - Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, and Hypnotherapy - and work with you to find the right blend for your situation and your goals. There's no single right way to do therapy, and what works for one person may be different for someone else.
I see clients face-to-face at my private practice in Amersham, online via Google Meet, and for Walk-and-Talk sessions outdoors. Reaching out can feel daunting, especially if you're opening up about things you've never spoken about before. But change is possible, and therapy can be the first step. If you'd like a brief, free call to see whether it feels right, I'd be happy to hear from you.

Further information
Therapy is about you, and choosing a therapist is a very personal choice - so here's a little about me.
I lost my father to suicide when I was twenty-five. Alongside my first real experience of grief, it led me to think about things I'd never considered before: how and why people carry and conceal mental pain, what leads someone to lose their sense of identity, and the role communication plays. If we all have a 'hidden therapist' within us, that was the moment mine woke up.
I came to therapy later in life, after more than twenty years in the corporate world and raising three children. I'd always been someone others turned to, and I've seen the difference it makes when people feel genuinely heard and have the time and space to work through what matters to them right now.
However you'd like to meet - face to face, online, or walking outdoors - I offer a free 15-minute call so you can get a sense of how I work and decide whether I feel like the right person for you.
