About me
Hello, I’m Andy – I am a fully accredited trauma-informed practitioner registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Since qualifying in 2011, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including private practice, the NHS, the charity sector, and occupational health.
My approach to therapy is integrative, which means I combine different techniques and modalities to best meet your individual needs. While I work from a Person-Centred foundation, I also incorporate methods such as EMDR, CBT, Art Therapy, Inner Child work, Mindfulness, and Creative Visualisation. I understand that every person is unique, and that includes how we respond to therapy. Together, we’ll find the approach that resonates most with you, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported throughout our work together.
I believe that therapy should be a safe, respectful, and judgement-free space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. From my own experience, I’ve learned that the most important thing a therapist can offer is a space to fully experience and understand difficult emotions – no matter how deep-rooted they may seem. I’m here to guide you through this process, helping you create meaningful change.
I work with a wide range of issues, specialising in trauma, bereavement, and work-related mental health challenges. Over the years, I’ve developed extensive knowledge in trauma treatment, using tools like CBT, EMDR, Rewind Therapy and the Flash Technique to help clients process and heal from their experiences.
What drives me in this work is my deep passion for therapy and my commitment to being a supportive presence in each client’s journey. It’s truly an honour to accompany you through these transformative moments. To ensure I’m providing the best possible care, I continue my own personal development through training and workshops—always striving to grow and refine my practice for the benefit of my clients.
I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your path to healing.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
