About me

Transform Your Life with Positive Minds Therapy with locations in Sandbach, Nantwich and Crewe - Cheshire

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to a major life change?

At Positive Minds Therapy, I offer compassionate, Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centred approaches to help you overcome challenges and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

With over 18 years of experience in mental health, both within the NHS and private practice, I bring a depth of understanding and expertise to my work with individuals and couples. My approach draws on evidence-based CBT techniques to help you recognise and change unhelpful thought patterns, build resilience, and develop healthier coping strategies. Alongside this, I integrate Solution-Focused methods to help you identify your strengths and move toward achievable, realistic goals.

In addition to individual therapy, I offer Couples Counselling at Survive Counselling in Crewe or Tealstone Therapy Rooms in Nantwich, supporting partners who wish to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen their emotional connection. Couples therapy provides a supportive space to explore recurring patterns, manage conflict more constructively, and work collaboratively towards a more balanced and fulfilling relationship.

Whether you’re facing complex emotional difficulties or seeking guidance to bring more balance into your life, I’m here to help you find clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. It’s a privilege to witness each client’s journey of healing and growth as they move forward towards positive, lasting change.

Why Choose Positive Minds Therapy?

Integrated Counselling: primarily using person-centred counselling that puts you at the heart of the sessions. You decide what you would like to talk about during the session and what you’d like to focus on.

Psychotherapy and Solution-Focused Approach: Together, we'll identify practical steps to overcome your challenges, ensuring you leave each session with a clear path forward.

Personalised Care: I believe in a holistic approach, integrating different therapeutic techniques to suit your individual needs and goals.

Positive Minds Therapy – Empowering You to Live Your Best Life

My Mission

With over 18 years of experience in private practice, including roles within NHS Mental Health Services and The Priory Hospital in Altrincham, Cheshire, I am deeply committed to helping individuals improve their lives. My passion for supporting others is at the heart of everything I do. I firmly believe that everyone has the potential to create positive change, and I am here to guide you on your journey toward personal growth and transformation.

As a fully licensed, insured practitioner and a proud member of the BACP ethical framework, I adhere to the highest standards of professional care.

My Approach: Psychotherapy and Person-Centred Counselling

My approach to therapy is rooted in Psychotherapy and Person-Centred Counselling, which places you, the client, at the heart of the therapeutic process. I believe that lasting change comes from working at both a conscious and a deeper psychological level. Psychotherapy provides the opportunity to explore the underlying patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your thoughts and behaviours, while Person-Centred Counselling offers a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental space in which you can feel truly heard and understood.

Both approaches are built on the belief that you are the expert on your own life, and with the right support, you have the capacity to make meaningful changes. By fostering self-awareness and encouraging self-discovery, therapy empowers you to find your own solutions while also working through deeper-rooted issues that may be holding you back.

I also draw on an integrative approach that includes Solution-Focused Therapy, NLP Mind Coaching, Mindfulness, and Timeline Therapy. My method is collaborative, working closely with you to identify your strengths, overcome limiting beliefs, and develop practical strategies to achieve your goals. This blend of approaches not only facilitates a deeper understanding of yourself but also supports lasting personal growth, healing, and transformation.

My Services

I offer a variety of wellness services, including both one-on-one and online video sessions, utilising a range of therapeutic tools and techniques. My areas of expertise include supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, phobias, and those who are survivors of abuse.

To help you take the first step, I offer a free, no-obligation phone consultation. Let's discuss how I can support you on your journey to well-being. You can contact me via phone, text, WhatsApp, or email, and I will get back to you when possible.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
