About me
Hi, I’m Andrena, a Pluralistic Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. I believe everyone deserves kindness, compassion and a safe, non judgemental space to explore whatever has brought them there.
Working from a pluralistic approach means I don’t believe there is one “right” way to help. Every person is unique, so I take time to understand you and what feels right for you. Together we will find an approach that meets your needs. You will never find me telling you what to do, instead, I will walk beside you, supporting you through your journey.
Coming from a neurodivergent family has given me a deep appreciation that we all experience the world differently. It has taught me to think outside the box, stay curious and adapt my approach to the person in front of me.
I am also passionate about raising awareness and understanding of Tourette’s Syndrome and I aim to offer a space where differences are welcomed, understood and valued.
Over the years I have supported those affected by domestic abuse, childhood trauma, grief, anxiety and ADHD/Autistic burnout. I understand how overwhelming life’s experiences can be and how they can affect us long after they happen. Whatever brings you to therapy, you will be met with acceptance, empathy and respect.
My hope is to offer a safe space where you feel heard, understood and able to be yourself. Together we can explore what’s happening for you, helping you recognise your strengths, make sense of your experiences and move towards the life you want.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
