Living with anxiety, low mood, stress or being neurodivergent can feel exhausting and isolating. Life can become a challenge when emotions feel overwhelming or communication feels difficult. It  can make you feel alone and disconnected.

I can offer a safe and understanding therapeutic space for individuals and couples, to slow things down, and explore what is happening beneath the surface, to find kinder ways to relate to yourself and others.

I can help you find a place within yourself which is untouched by the chaos. Within our therapeutic relationship, we explore together how life is for you.

 I will help you develop yourself,  raise your confidence, self-esteem and wellbeing. You can become the  master of your own ship.

I offer a free informal 15 minute consultation for you to ask any questions, and discuss what has brought you to seek support.

Hi I am Andrea,

With  over 20 years experience as a counsellor ,I offer a compassionate and grounded space for individuals to explore and understand their inner world.

I have extensive experience  supporting clients with anxiety ,stress, depression low self- esteem, guilt, shame, Trauma. Helping you  move gently towards greater self  awareness and emotional balance to  facilitate change. These challenges can feel overwhelming at times, and its completely understandable to need support. You do not have to navigate this alone- I am here to help. 

I support neurodivergent clients, those with ADHD and autism, in understanding their unique  ways of thinking and experiencing the world, helping them build strategies  that help  their strengths while gently  navigating everyday challenges. 

I also work with couples who may be experiencing communication difficulties, emotional distance or repeating patterns that they feel hard to shift together we explore these dynamics in a supportive and respectful way, helping both partners feel heard and understood.

My approach is rooted in transpersonal therapy which is taking a holistic approach aiming to address your mental, physical, social, and creative needs in order to create wellness and growth. I work at your pace ,ensuring you feel safe, heard and supported throughout the process.

Whether  you are hoping to manage mental health challenges ,cope better with difficult emotions, or simply want to improve how you feel about yourself counselling can be a helpful step forward.

I offer a calm ,comfortable and confidential environment where you can make sense of your experiences and move towards a more fulfilling  way of living whether individually or as a couple.

As well as private practice my background has been working  with both national and regional charities, giving me a broad and diverse understanding of peoples experiences across different walks of life. Working as a counsellor for women who survived domestic abuse , writing bespoke self esteem programmes.{The Butterfly foundation}

Facilitating retreats with women that experience breast cancer .Delivering health care programmes into the community. {Wessex cancer care trust}

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
