About me
When life feels hard or overwhelming, counselling can offer a safe space to make sense of it. I specialise in working with children and young people, and hold an MSc in Counselling (Children and Young People). Alongside my CYP work, I also support adults, dynamically adapting my integrative approach to meet your needs. My aim is to offer a safe, caring space where you or your child can explore what feels difficult and feel truly heard and supported.
I work in an integrative way, combining person-centred, relational, and creative approaches, including art and play for children's counselling. In our first session, we'll talk about what brings you to counselling and identify some goals you may have. Sessions may involve talking or creative methods, always at a pace that feels safe and comfortable to you or your child.
If you’re reading this, you’ve already taken a brave first step towards support. It’s not always easy to reach out, but everyone deserves a space where they can feel safe and understood. Counselling can help make sense of what feels difficult, and when you’re ready, I’d be glad to support you on that journey.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP registered counsellor with specialist training in counselling children and young people (MSc CYP). I regularly complete CPD and hold level 3 safeguarding training and an enhanced DBS check.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I support children, young people and adults with anxiety, low mood, self-esteem and other challenges. Sessions are client-led, open-ended, and reviewed regularly. We'll begin by exploring what feels most important, then work together using talking and creative approaches at a pace that feels safe.
