About me
Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety that won’t switch off, low mood that makes everything feel like a struggle, or the impact of difficult experiences from the past. I'm a cognitive-behavioural psychotherapist, with additional training including EMDR and DBT. I am accredited by the BABCP, meaning I meet the high professional standards required to practice ethically as a therapist using evidence-based approaches.
I work with a wide range of problems including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and anxiety disorders such as social anxiety and specific phobias. My sessions aren’t about ticking boxes or following scripts, but instead about understanding what’s really going on for you and helping you find ways to manage and improve your symptoms.
I specialise in working with trauma, which can leave us experiencing intrusive thoughts, nightmares or beliefs about others and the world around us. Sometimes life throws things at us that are too big and too sudden, and you may feel that you need a therapist to guide you through processing events. Whatever your symptoms are, we can take things at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel grounded again, find calm in your body, and start building to reclaim a little more of your life each day.
I work with compassion and a genuine commitment to building a strong relationship with my clients.

Experience:

I am passionate about working with people who identify as neurodivergent - whether you are diagnosed or seeking a diagnosis. I also offer support to families who are struggling.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
A lot of the people I support have long-term health conditions such as chronic pain, fatigue or complex medical problems. I understand how much these can affect not just your body, but also your mood, confidence and sense of identity. Pain may have caused your life to feel like it has become smaller in many ways. My aim is to support people to gain some acceptance and control, building a life that feels lighter, balanced and meaningful despite a chronic illness.
