Amy Thompson Counsellor - BSc (Hons), Dip TA Practice, MBACP
I am a Counsellor and Transactional Analysis Practitioner in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (BSc Hons, Dip TA Practice, MBACP).
I offer weekly 50-minute talk therapy 1:1 sessions, located in a peaceful, warm and inviting garden room. I offer both daytime and evening sessions. (Please contact for availability)
I also have a therapy dog, who is registered with 'Pets As Therapy'. He is an optional (and free of charge) addition to your sessions available on request.
What to expect from therapy:
The sessions will be tailored to fit your needs, and we will work together to create a safe space so you can process your feelings and thoughts and to explore your personal growth at your pace.
We can work together on a long-term or short-term basis depending on your requirements and can discuss this together in our initial taster session.
I work in a non-judgemental way and follow the TA philosophy that everyone has value and is worthy of respect, everyone has the capacity to think and people decide their own destiny and can make changes to their life path.
Therapy is about client and therapist working together as equals to create a space for insight, self-empowerment and, as a result, positive change.
