About me

My therapeutic approach centers on listening deeply, building trust and welcoming every part of you with curiosity and without judgement, even the parts that might feel shameful, impossible to bear or difficult to put into words. I am a queer therapist and highly experienced working with clients from the gender, sexuality and relationship diverse community, including non-monogamy and polyamory.  I want to empower you to be in charge of your own therapy and to focus on making the changes that are most important to you. Together we can work to better understand your struggles and find a way forward.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience working with a wide range of mental health difficulties, e.g. depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, stress and self-criticism. I am committed to anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practice including working affirmatively with neurodivergent individuals.

Grounded in a humanistic approach, I believe the relationship between client and therapist is vital for therapy to be successful and that there is no simple template for healing. Guided by your preferences and goals, my experience and the psychological research available, we will create a therapeutic experience together that works for your unique person.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
