About me

Hello and welcome. Life can be tough, and even the most resourceful among us sometimes need support. People often seek counselling when they are facing difficult life events, when their usual coping strategies aren’t working, or following loss, trauma, or unexpected change. At other times, what’s happening may feel less clear - perhaps a sense of inner unease, or feeling overwhelmed in our always-on world. Reaching out can feel daunting, yet it is often the first step towards feeling better and creating change. Talking and being truly heard by a warm, welcoming, and empathic therapist who is committed to genuinely “getting” you can be deeply helpful. I bring warmth, authenticity, and a deep commitment to supporting you to find your own answers and way forward. I offer a safe, supportive space where we can explore what is happening for you and, together, gain insights that ease inner conflict and strengthen emotional balance, self-trust, and confidence.

I aim to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and respect. You don’t need to have all the answers to begin - our work starts wherever you are, supporting you to reconnect with yourself, your strengths, and move through life with greater confidence and ease.

How I Work

I am a humanistic, integrative counsellor, guided by a person-centred approach. Essentially, I believe you are the expert on yourself, and my role is to come alongside you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Our work is collaborative, with the aim of finding ways forward that feel right and meaningful for you.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS helps you understand and connect with the different parts of yourself - such as anxious, protective, or critical parts, as well as more vulnerable and tender ones.

Through this integrative and parts-based approach, we work to reduce inner conflict, strengthen self-trust, and support a greater sense of balance, clarity, and emotional ease.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
