About me
I understand how hard taking the first steps to get help can be. Not knowing quite how talking about things might help or even if you are ready to let someone share your inner world.
I understand how hard taking the first steps to get help can be. Not knowing quite how talking about things might help or even if you are ready to let someone share your inner world.
Finding the right fit for you shouldn’t also be part of the struggle.
Most people come to therapy to stop hiding. But for Neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities, the therapeutic room itself can sometimes feel like another place where you have to mask, explain your slang, or justify your sensory needs.
Sometimes we feel broken, or out of place or life takes an unexpected turn and it feels hard to deal with on your own. You may be processing a ADHD or Autism discovery, exploring your gender or sexuality, or simply trying to manage the burnout that comes from living in a world that doesn’t seem built for you. I provide a space where you don't have to translate yourself.
Whatever is not working for you right now, whatever is difficult to bear, perhaps you know that it is time that you get support. As a humanistic counsellor, I will work with you and be guided by what you want to explore with support and encouragement. Looking at your experiences in new ways can allow you to let go of difficult feelings.
Whether using creative ways of exploring your life or just sitting and talking, a session will be unique to you.
Therapy can be challenging and hard work but can be healing and rewarding too and can allow you to move forward in life; increasing your self-awareness, giving you a greater sense of self, and helping you find more positive ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.
I have an affinity with the experience of feeling different, particularly when this feeling becomes overwhelming and affects our daily lives. I have lived experience of neurodivergence and supporting those in the transgender community.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
