About me

Hi, I’m Alice.

Life can feel a lot sometimes: messy, overwhelming or stuck. You might not even know what to say yet and that’s completely okay. I offer a place where you can slow down and start to untangle what's going on for you.

On the outside, life may look “fine”, but internally you might be feeling overwhelmed by day-to-day life, anxious, or low in mood. You may notice your self-esteem feels low, leaving you doubting yourself, second-guessing decisions or feeling “not good enough”.

Maybe relationships feel challenging, you’re navigating loss or a big life change. You might feel stuck in unhelpful patterns or disconnected from yourself in ways that are hard to put into words.

Whatever has brought you here, you may have been carrying this on your own for a long time. Counselling offers a space where you can put down some of that weight.

My way of working

I’m an integrative counsellor, which means I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw on person-centred and psychodynamic ways of working to support what you need.

I can promise you a warm, authentic, judgement-free space where you can talk things through at your own pace and feel heard and accepted, exactly as you are. The relationship we build together is the most important part: a safe place where you can start to make sense of your experiences and explore what change might look like for you.

I offer 50 minute sessions for individuals, both online and in person.

Please take a look at my website for more information about how I work.

Next steps

I offer a free 15-minute introductory online call to see whether working together feels right for you.

I know taking the first steps can feel really daunting. You don't need to have the right words or have everything figured out before reaching out. Whenever you’re ready, I'd love to hear from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Foundation Degree in Therapeutic Counselling, awarded with Distinction. My training provided a strong foundation in integrative counselling and ethical practice.

Since 2023, I have worked as a counsellor with Listening Post in Stroud, a local counselling charity that provides affordable therapeutic support to adults in the community. Through this role, I have gained experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and life transitions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
