About me

It's not about me - it's about you.
No one else has lived your life or your experiences. No one can tell you how you should think or feel, nor can anyone else tell you what sort of therapy you need. We'll work that out together.

I am an Integrative Counsellor - I draw from many different approaches, and together we find the way of working that is right for you.

Please get in touch for more info, or to arrange a free, no-obligation, video session for you to ask me any questions and get an idea of whether I'm the right counsellor for you.

What Is Integrative Counselling?

Integrative therapy starts with the idea that we are all nested within larger systems - our friendships, families, our culture, the World - and we are made of smaller parts nested within us - our thoughts, feelings, fears, memories, hopes and values. In order to feel whole, to feel flow, to feel peace and wellness, these parts need to be heard, understood, and integrated.

Much of the distress we feel can be traced back to a lack of integration - either with ourselves, or with the world around us.

In therapy, we might ask - what is going on for you right now? What are you thinking? What are you feeling? What behaviours would you like to change? Can we understand and integrate these more fully? Or we might ask - what has brought you to where you are now? What experiences and memories have shaped your experience? Can we understand and integrate these? Or we might ask - where do you want to get to? How would you like your life to look a year from now? What are your values, passions, drives and dreams? Can we integrate these?

Integrative therapy is about understanding yourself more fully so that you can live with more freedom, joy, passion and peace.

Please get in touch to book a free video session for you to ask any questions, and get an idea of what I can offer. We'll take it from there, if you like.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
