About me

Thank you for reaching out, I know it's not an easy step to make, and you may have many questions and even some doubts about the counselling process.

I work with your safety and wellbeing in mind always and want to offer you a sense of this in any work we may undertake together.

In my practice, I work alongside you to help increase your self-awareness, resilience, and wellbeing, all within the relationship and connection we develop together. I am a warm and empathetic practitioner offering a confidential, non-judgmental, safe place to explore your experiences, thoughts, physical sensations, and feelings. I am curious about your past and how you developed to be the person you are today.

I recognise that our past, particularly our relationships, can impact us in the present. I work carefully with you to help make change in your life, for the better.

As a counsellor, I believe that you are the expert of yourself; my role is to help guide you to your own solutions, by providing warmth, empathy and acceptance. Counselling is a place of safety and space for you, the client, to explore whatever you choose to, at your own pace.

Although it is a place to explore your thoughts and feelings, as an Integrative Counsellor, I also help bring awareness to your physical sensations to help teach you grounding and calming techniques. We may also use creativity to help explore your experiences.

Please get in touch if you wish to arrange a free 15 minute online or phone session so that you can see if you feel you could work with me, and for me to determine if I have the right skill set to best support you with the challenges or issues you might be facing.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
