About me

There are times when life feels overwhelming, relationships become strained, or we find ourselves feeling low without knowing exactly why.

Therapy offers a confidential and supportive space to explore these thoughts and emotions in a safe and welcoming environment.

I’ve been a practising therapist since 2011, beginning my work with clients at Cruse Bereavement Support. I later joined the Oxford Counselling Centre, where I supported individuals from a wide range of backgrounds facing a variety of challenges. Since 2018, I’ve been working in private practice, and have also led psychotherapeutic and support services within both private healthcare and charitable organisations.

I am an accredited member of the BACP and BABCP, and hold an MSc in Counselling as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Therapy is available in person, by phone, or via video - whichever suits you best. If you’d like to arrange an initial consultation, please feel free to contact me and I’d be glad to speak with you.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BABCP
British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
