About me
My name is Ailsa, I am a Person Centred Integrative Counsellor with 10 years of experience in the charity sector, 8 years with local baby loss charity Held in our Hearts, specialising in fertility, pregnancy, baby/child loss and the painful emotions and trauma they bring.
I am based in West Lothian in a room at Geddes House on Tuesdays for in person sessions and online sessions through out the week.
People come to counselling for many reasons, to understand their thoughts and feelings, to look at anxiety, stress or depression. Some people come to deal with the loss of a loved one, some would like support to make important life decisions and choices.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or exhausted from holding it all together, you’re not alone. I use person centred integrative therapy to help people understand and work through trauma, loss, anxiety and depression.
Whatever your reasons for considering counselling, know that as a Person Centred Integrative Counsellor I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I will walk with you, I will listen to you, I will support you and I will never judge you.
It can be a difficult decision to begin counselling, yet every journey begins with a single step, it takes courage to look into yourself, understand yourself and see where you would like to make changes. Believe in yourself and take that first step with me.
I will provide a safe, comfortable space where we can explore your thoughts and feelings in an atmosphere of mutual trust and confidentiality and together we will explore the possibilities for change.
If you feel this is the right time for you to come to counselling, please get in touch with me by email and we can find a suitable time for us to meet for an initial session where we can discuss what you would like to get from counselling.
