Training, qualifications & experience
I completed my counselling training through CPCAB (Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body), a nationally recognised and respected organisation specialising in counselling qualifications.
My qualifications include:
- Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
- Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
- Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
With over 12 months of experience in pre- and post-bereavement counselling, I bring a wealth of practical knowledge to my practice. This includes working one-to-one with individuals processing grief and loss, facilitating bereavement support groups, and delivering palliative care talks to healthcare professionals. I’ve also supported trainee counsellors as a student mentor, offering encouragement, insight, and emotional support throughout their studies.
I have undertaken further professional development in both trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware approaches. This means I work with care, sensitivity and a deeper understanding of how trauma and neurodivergent experiences can shape how someone relates to the world, themselves, and others. My approach is always grounded in compassion, choice, and respect for your pace and process.
This combination of training and hands-on experience enables me to provide a safe, inclusive, and attuned counselling space where everyone, regardless of their background or experiences, can feel supported, heard, and truly met, just as they are.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

My Approach
I believe that healing begins when you feel safe being yourself. My approach is grounded in compassion, acceptance, and a deep respect for your unique story.
I will walk alongside you at your own pace - there's no pressure and no expectations - just a safe space for you to breathe, reflect, and begin to understand what is truly happening beneath the surface.
Why "Lighthouse"?
A lighthouse doesn't stop the storm, but it helps you find your way through it. That's what I offer: a steady light in times of uncertainty, enabling you to find your way.
