About me
I am an embodied practitioner, which means I use the body as well as the mind to help people. If the mind is a top-down approach, going through thoughts to discover what lies beneath, then the body is a bottom-up approach, using body sensations to explore what needs to be surfaced.
I use a combination of 1-1 breathwork and psychotherapy and coaching to help people reconnect to themselves, heal trauma, and transform experiences of dis-ease into opportunities for growth.
My work is grounded in decades of self-reflection, therapy, and exploration of expanded states of consciousness. At the heart of my practice lies a core fascination: what makes life meaningful?
I work with people from all backgrounds and identities, and I especially welcome those from LGBTQIA+ communities, neurodivergent individuals, people of colour, and those from diverse religious or cultural backgrounds. My practice is rooted in allyship, inclusivity, and respect for the full spectrum of human experience.

Training, qualifications & experience
I bring 20 years of experience in mental health as a psychotherapist, researcher, entrepreneur, and innovator. My professional journey began with training as a counsellor and earning a Master's degree in Counselling at the University of Manchester. I became deeply interested in research, testing what truly works in therapy. This led to over 30 peer-reviewed academic papers and book chapters published on counselling and mental health.
For 15 years, I helped build and scale Kooth, an international digital mental health platform for young people. This work made therapy accessible to millions of individuals across the UK and US. As a senior leader, I learned to navigate complex challenges while coaching others to achieve their full potential.
More recently, I trained in Conscious Connected Breathwork with Breathing Journeys, a powerful therapeutic practice that works with the body’s innate wisdom.
Breathwork can be used on its own or alongside psychotherapy to help you:
- Reconnect with your body and its needs
- Heal trauma, loss, or feelings of disconnection
- Transform patterns of dis-ease into healing and integration
