About me
I am now offering face to face counselling sessions from my Kenilworth office , as well as offering counselling online through Zoom.
I am a Person Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist , with over eighteen years experience in private practice. I see adults, couples and young people from the age of seventeen. Some of the issues I work with include abuse , bereavement , depression , anxiety , stress , relationship difficulties , work related issues and low self esteem. Being a male counsellor a lot a men feel more comfortable working with me , whilst some women may choose to see me specifically because I am a man .
With a vast amount of experience of working with people who are anxious and or depressed, I am able not only to help someone feel less anxious and or depressed, yet I work directly with where those feelings originate, meaning someone can live freely without being encumbered by their feelings . I find a lot of people come to me because they are not satisfied with the IAPT service they received through their GP , and are looking for something more than just learning to cope with their feelings , they therefore come to me because I offer them the opportunity to locate the source of their feelings of anxiety and or depression and through that exploration they learn how they can help themselves.
I have developed expertise in working with people who find that issues from their childhood are impacting upon their adult relationships , they want to find a way to make sense of what happened to them, to find healthy ways to live with themselves and to have more fulfilling relationships . Sometimes people find they keep repeating patterns of behaviour that can be potentially self destructive , that they form relationships that are ultimately unhealthy and potentially harmful , seeing me gives them the opportunity to learn about themselves , can give them insight into their behaviour ,to stop repeating those patterns of behaviour , and gives them the chance to help themselves live more emotionally healthy lives.
If you are finding it hard to continue in your relationship and want to try and make sense of your situation , to be sure of what is right for you , then counselling with me might be just what you need .I work with people to help them either work at their relationship or to decide to leave a relationship . Going through divorce or separation can be a very difficult time , leaving one with a multitude of feelings to try and cope with , whether it is anger , bitterness, regret , rejection, love denied , or just relief, yet what do you do to help you , arranging an appointment with me could be your chance to have the space for you away from any conflict and demands in you life to be able to start putting you first .
I am a Registered Counsellor , as a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I am listed on their register for Counsellors and Psychotherapists . I abide by their ethical framework and meet their criteria for registration .

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
