About me
INITIAL CONSULTATION! For individuals, couples, and adolescents, experienced Psychotherapist,Supervisor and Wellbeing Specialist Coach, for the NHS Leadership Team, Relate and CAMHS. Based at the Friarsgate GP Surgery and home practice counselling for a range of issues including relationships, low self esteem, abuse, trauma, bereavement, depression, anxiety, intense therapy for addictions, infertility and have many years experience. As a Relationship Specialist I recognise how important it is and also how difficult it is to come into therapy. I offer counselling in a confidential, safe and trusting environment and can offer home visits.
Although I work individually I am also a Relationship Specialist. I offer strategies and a solution focused approach to mend marriages and relationships with amazing results. Being Conscious Couples often come to therapy when they are in crisis. I do charge more than other therapists because I have invested time and over 50 thousand pounds in training in this area and continue to train.
My counselling and coaching training has taken place over many years and is still ongoing as I believe it is important to keep my continued professional development updated. I trained in Humanistic (Person-centred, Existential, Gestalt) and in CBT, Transactional Analysis and extended this further to Children & Adolescents training, and Couples counselling with Relate. I am also a qualified supervisor and coach.
I work in private practice based at Friarsgate Medical Practice and my home practice and my hours are flexible Monday to Friday.
I am a senior accredited and registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists), Accredited member of the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) and BPS (British Psychological Society) NLP Coach and BICA (British Infertility Counselling Association) and HACP (Hampshire Counselling and Psychotherapists)
My counselling experience started when I was supporting people who were suffering from depression, self harm, schizophrenia and other forms of mental health. I then trained with Cruse Bereavement Care, working with them as a counsellor as well as the NHS and Relate. I coach the leadership team at the NHS in various settings.
I am passionate about counselling and have been privileged to work along side many individuals and couples through their emotional journeys and know that counselling really has helped them feel less distressed and given them hope for the future.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

How long will I need?
Just as everyone is individual, so our experience and need for therapy will vary. Issues that reveal themselves to be more complex or deeper can sometimes necessitate a more in-depth and possibly longer commitment. Likewise, issues that have a recent history could be addressed over a shorter period of time. Therefore, we can contract to work short or long term. Intense therapy may be suggested for clients in immediate crisis such as high suicidal risk.
