About me
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, shame, depression, struggling with addiction, or finding relationships difficult, the first step is simply being heard. I help people make sense of their experiences in a warm, non-judgmental way.
I work as a counsellor in Woodley and am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer counselling sessions Monday to Friday and Sunday during the days and evenings. My therapy room is based in Woodley, is easily accessible by public transport and has parking outside.
I have over twenty years experience working as a counsellor and throughout this time I have remained committed to ongoing professional training, personal development and reflective practice. I aim to offer therapy that is thoughtful, grounded and of a consistency high standard, tailored to the needs of each individual.
My training includes counselling, psychology, psychotherapy, couple counselling, philosophy and psychoanalytic studies. Whilst I work with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, I have particular experience in working with addiction. This includes alcohol and substance misuse, gambling, and difficulties relating to pornography and cybersex. I also work with issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, abuse, shame and difficulties in relationships.
As an integrative counsellor I seek to create a safe, confidential and non - judgmental space where we can explore what is causing difficulties in your life and work through these at a pace that feels right for you and in ways that are meaningful.
I work with individuals in both short and long term counselling, offer couples counselling for those experiencing relationship difficulties, and have over ten years experience working in group settings.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
