About me

Stacey Millichamp is a very experienced counsellor/psychotherapist with 16 years of extensive work with individuals and couples. Her private practice is in Muswell Hill, North London.

Stacey also has many years experience as a Senior Trainer and Clinical Supervisor on the MA in Psychotherapy through the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust and University of East London. She is published in 'Critically Engaging CBT'.

Her approach is Integrative counselling and psychotherapy, with a Transpersonal perspective. She builds on client's strengths as well as getting to the core of their problems. Her clients feel that their therapy effectively addresses their concerns and issues.

Training, qualifications & experience

Stacey has a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy, a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling and Therapy, a Diploma in Couple Counselling and a Diploma in Clinical Supervision.

She is an accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Stacey has extensive experience in both group and individual supervision for professionals drawn from a wide variety of therapeutic backgrounds and core models.  Her approach is Integrative.She supervises professionals who are operating throughout all levels of experience and seniority as:* Counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice and/or within the NHS, hospices, young people's services, school and university counselling services.* Couple therapists.* HR workers.* Trainers working with groups.* Addiction specialists.* Student counsellors on training courses and in clinical placements.* Course leaders and counselling services managers.* Health care professionals.Stacey has been a trainer and group supervisor on the MA Psychotherapy at the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust and the University of East London and for many years was Clinical Director, trainer and group supervisor for Children Our Ultimate Investment.She has extensive experience in supervising work with both adults and children and has in-depth knowledge of child protection issues and other ethical/legal issues that can impact counsellors and psychotherapists in their clinical work.
