Hi I'm Tammy Do you need someone to understand ?
Sometimes the issues life throws at us are overwhelming and too overwhelming to cope with alone, unsupported.
People can feel less overwhelmed if they can feel heard and understood - when a person begins to feel understood through engaging in counselling ways forward and choices can become clearer.
Problems, issues difficulties and painful feelings are unique and may be either acute or long- term. I have experience working effectively with a range of emotional issues long term and short term and my approach is to help clients gain understanding through talking therapy in order that they can more clearly see what choices are currently available or will become available in the future. Clients choose what issues they will talk about. Also further techniques, including Mindfulness relaxation techniques and CBT can be included, if decided together in a session that these would be helpful.
I am an accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist with experience (over nine years) counselling adults, couples, young people and children - through private practice, NHS, counselling agencies and voluntary sectors - including counselling in - prisons, substance misuse centres, health centres, primary and secondary schools and a centre for victims of domestic violence.
Confidential sessions last up to one hour:
available appointment times include- mornings, afternoons and evenings every weekday.
