I qualified with a BSc (Hons) Psychology Degree at Kingston University followed by a BA (Hons) in Integrative Relational Counselling from Middlesex University. I have worked with clients in various settings including NHS sites and University. I currently work for two counselling charities and I have my own practice.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) which has strict ethical codes, and professional standards of confidentility and practice to which I subscribe.
I trained in integrative relational counselling, exploring the relationship between self and others and the environment in which we are raised.
I have a leaning towards Gestalt therapy whereby I recognise that everything, however insignificant it may seem, is important to the healing process.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

I have considerable experience of working with issues surrounding sexual abuse, emotional abuse,bereavement and loss and general counselling issues.
I have experience of working with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), looking at changing patterns of behaviour in order to gain a more positive outcome.
My fees are £50.00 for individual counselling and £75.00 for couples. I do offer concessions where there may be financial constraints and am more than happy to discuss this when you call for an appointment.
(An additional admin charge per session is added if invoice required)

Sessions last for 50 minutes for individuals and 60 minutes for couples.
