Caroline Leburn MBACP Couples Counsellor
I specialize in Couple Counselling and am a Relate-trained, registered member of BACP.
FROM MAY 2020 I SHALL BE HAPPY TO OFFER ZOOM ONLINE OR TELEPHONE COUNSELLING SESSIONS, WHERE APPROPRIATE, FOR BOTH PERSONAL AND RELATIONSHIP ISSUES IN ALL THE AREAS SPECIFIED BELOW.
When couples and individuals come to me the main focus of my work lies in their care and future well being, so that they can go forward with a new way of understanding themselves and others, using new skills to broaden their outlook on life and to find greater happiness.
I work in a warm and supportive way, building up trust with my clients and thereby creating a comfortable space where we can address the situation sensitively and concisely. Sessions lasting weeks rather than months!
I have been working in the field of Personal and Couples Relationships for the past 21 years, having been trained and accredited by Relationships Scotland ( formerly Relate). My hope is to help my client(s) by drawing on my wide range of study, experience and disciplines. These include Person centred, Psychodynamic, Systems theory and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I have also had experience of working in an Employment Support Programme (EAP) which has given me an added insight into the problems associated with the workplace and financial, life and family /Relationship crises.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
