I have over 23 years’ experience of helping individuals and couples work towards the solutions they want in order to live more fulfilling lives.
I specialise in relationship therapy and am an experienced Relate counsellor and psychosexual therapist, qualified at post-graduate level. I work with clients who want to improve their relationships. There may be an immediate crisis, the aftermath of an affair or the impact of separation or divorce. The aim of my work is to promote respectful, healthy relationships which are nourishing and enriching to all parties.
As a BACP accredited counsellor, I am also professionally qualified to work with individuals. Counselling can provide you with an opportunity to talk and think about your concerns in confidence. This can help you to understand your situation more clearly and enable you make sense of both past and present experiences. When you come to see me we will spend the initial session of one hour talking about your concerns. We consider what you hope to get out of counselling and this helps us to decide whether what I offer is suitable for your needs. If this is the case, we decide on a day of the week and time that we can meet regularly. We decide together how long the counselling will last, but would usually initially agree a contract of 6 sessions in order to give your situation the consideration it deserves. During the initial session we would discuss the bounds of confidentiality and fees. If we discover that your particular concerns would benefit more from another kind of intervention, we would discuss the most appropriate referral on for you, always taking into account your thoughts about this.
My counselling practice is in Marlow within easy reach of High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Henley and Reading and the surrounding areas of Berks, Bucks, and Oxon.
