Dilly Hilton Relationship Therapist BACP (accred) COSRT (accred)
Most people experience relationship difficulties at some point. Often it can seem easier to try to ignore them, even if we’re feeling resentful, unhappy or fearful.
Relationship therapy provides the opportunity to bring about positive and effective change and to increase your understanding of yourself and others. It offers a space to stop, think, reflect and re-assess.
My approach aims to help couples and individuals to make sense of what might feel confused, to take time to consider their situation in depth and to feel confident to make changes that will help them achieve their goals.
I have over 25 years experience of counselling. My professional accreditation with both BACP and COSRT reflect the seven years of study I have undertaken to become a counselling psychotherapist, with specific interest and expertise in relationship fully trained to work with individuals and couples in a caring and supportive environment.
Counselling isn’t advice-giving and whilst I won’t tell you what to do, I commit to working hard alongside you. Should you find it helpful, I can offer strategies and approaches based on established research and knowledge, which can help to improve your relationship.
Common difficulties I work with include:
- Arguments and lack of communication
- Work related stress
- Sexual problems
- Feeling uncertain or stuck
- Life changes such as
- New baby
- Children leaving home

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists
COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.
All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Areas of counselling I deal with
£55 per session - payable by cash, bank transfer or card.
An initial session is a chance for you to talk about your concerns and consider what you hope to get out of counselling. This helps us decide whether what I offer is best suited to your needs. If it is, and you wish to go ahead, we decide on a day of the week and time that we can meet regularly.
My counselling practice is in Marlow within easy reach of High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Henley and Reading and the surrounding areas of Berks, Bucks, and Oxon.
Off-road parking available.
