About me
I am an experienced, qualified Therapeutic Counsellor, and Counselling Supervisor for other Counsellors. Having over 17 years experience working with Adults, Couples, Adolescents and Children, providing a confidential empathic and understanding approach. I am an experienced counsellor with a working background of front line operations, including military personnel, veterans and blue light services. This is in a safe, non judgemental environment, where my clients can feel at ease. I run my own private practice Tranquility Counselling in Oxford, and am available to travel out to meet clients individual needs if required. I have previously worked as a Therapeutic Counsellor within the NHS and local authority for a number of years.
I feel we all experience emotional challenges at some point in our life. We often look for help and support when facing difficult feelings or life situations. It can be hard to talk to immediate family and friends sometimes, as transference and opinion often occurs. Those invisible illnesses called depression and anxiety can be hard to understand, let alone see. Therefore counselling can help in finding new ways of thinking and feeling, whilst bringing about lasting change. Empowering yourself in a positive way.
I can understand the first step to accessing counselling can seem quite daunting, I experienced this myself many years ago. If you would like to ask any questions before making an appointment please don't hesitate to call or email me. If you would prefer me to initiate a conversation please leave your contact details and I will call you back as soon as I can.

I am I member of the BACP, and abide by their code of ethics and complaint procedure. This organisation is one of the largest professional bodies for counsellors in the UK and insure the highest professional standards.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
