About me
In these uncertain times we all need a safe space to talk. Coming to counselling for the first time can be daunting, especially if you are not used to talking about your feelings. I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor with 21 years experience. I work with individuals and couples and can offer short term or longer term counselling.
I offer a confidential space where we can explore how your are feeling. Often people find themselves stuck in patterns of behaviour or in relationships that cause them difficulty. Together we can discuss issues that are concerning you and look for options, ways and choices of moving forward towards living in a more satisfying way of life.
I offer face to face appointments at my home in Clare during the week, during working hours, evenings and WEEKENDS. I work with individuals and have specialist training in working with couples. I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor. I have been working in Private Practice for the past 21 years. I have completed the NICE guidelines training in Counselling for Depression and am a Counsellor for Suffolk Wellbeing Service.
For the past 21 years I have worked as a telephone and online counsellor for many EAP services such as AXA, BUPA and HEALTH ASSURED and found that this can be particularly helpful to individuals who are looking for some extra support during a difficult period in their life. This could be divorce or separation, loss of a loved one, issues at work or other life events that have perhaps been unexpected and are proving difficult to come to terms with.
I have now completed training in online counselling. This means I now offer sessions FaceTime, Watts app and Teams. If you would like details of this please contact me.
If you feel you could benefit from counselling or support please call me to arrange an initial appointment.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
