About me

I am passionate about my work and love seeing my clients move quickly away from their negative thoughts and feelings towards living a more fulfilled and joyful life.I strongly feel that we are all capable of having more of what we desire in our lives and for the past 20 years I have gained huge satisfaction from seeing my clients become more confident and happier. Belief in your future and yourself is key to gaining more control and pleasure in your life.

I offer face to face appointments at my home in Clare during the week, during working hours, evenings and WEEKENDS. I work with individuals and have specialist training in working with couples.  I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor. I have been working in Private Practice for the past 20 years. I have completed the NICE guidelines training in Counselling for Depression. I offer short and long term therapy.

For the past 12 years I have worked as a telephone counsellor for an EAP service and found that this can be particularly helpful to individuals who are looking for some extra support during a difficult period in their life. This could be divorce or separation, loss of a loved one, issues at work or other life events that have perhaps been unexpected and are proving difficult to come to terms with.

I have now completed training in online counselling. This means I now offer sessions via email, FaceTime, Watts app and Teams. If you would like details of this please contact me.

If you feel you could benefit from counselling or support please call me to arrange an initial appointment.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
