Stressed, confused, alone with your thoughts? I can offer you a peaceful and nurturing space to offload and unpick what's on your mind. I am an experienced accredited person-centred counsellor working in a pluralistic way, meaning that 'different clients need different support at different times'. Our lives are a complex mix of relationships, emotions and pressures, which are made more stressful and overwhelming by life events such as bereavement and loss, traumatic experiences and relationship breakdown. I believe that we all have the capacity and 'tools' within us to cope with what life throws at us, but these can be 'locked up' by how we have responded to past events and we have then become dis-empowered and vulnerable.
At present I am working by phone, Zoom or WhatsApp video. Face to face sessions are preferable for most people as this is more effective at developing the beneficial relationship that aids effective therapy, but I cannot offer that until the situation eases and the weather improves then I am able to work in a covered space in my garden. In the meantime I would encourage you to get in touch to discuss which is the best option fot you.
I also offer supervision to the caring professions. I have much experience of clinical supervision and am at present consolidating that through study

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
