About me
Counselling changes lives and can greatly improve your wellbeing. Meeting with a counsellor provides you with a regular safe place to be listened to, helping you to process and share within a confidential environment and without judgement.
Most people contact a counsellor if they are struggling with anything disrupting every day life. Some issues include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, bereavement, stress or feeling sad. Or if you are needing help with relationships for 1-1 counselling and/or couples counselling.
I am an integrative counsellor which means I have studied different theories in counselling. These are then integrated into the way I work as a counsellor and is aimed at helping you achieve your goal. Some of these theories include Gestalt, CBT, Attachment Theory, Inner Child theory, The Enneagram personality typology, Transactional Analysis and Internal Family Systems theory.
I have been practising as a counsellor for 21 years. My qualifications include an MA and BA Hons degree in counselling. Recent experience as year leader of a DipHe level degree course in counselling at Waverley Abbey College for 9 years and I have experience supervising, tutoring, marking and lecturing 2014-2023).
Fees: 1 to 1 counselling is £70 per session. Couples counselling is £90 per session. I have some capacity for lower-paying clients. I receive regular supervision and keep the identity of clients confidential. I offer a free phone or online meeting before the first session.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
