Supervision details

When choosing a clinical supervisor, it's important to consider the safety of your clients, ethics, as well as your own professional needs and areas for growth in your clinical work.

I have worked as a psychotherapist for 21 years. During that time, I gained a vast experience in managing and setting up counselling services for several charities and providing clinical supervision to both qualified and trainee psychotherapists and counsellors, whom I recruited for clinical placements. I have also provided psychotherapy within universities, colleges, private corporations, the international development field and in my private practice.

My qualifications, knowledge, and skills are based on the psychodynamic, person-centred, and intercultural therapy therapeutic models.

I offer supervision based on one of these models or an integrative clinical supervision approach.

I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including different races, cultures, social classes, age groups and the LGBTQ community. I have also worked with parents who have given up their children for adoption, as well as high-net-worth individuals and celebrities.

I possess the necessary knowledge and skills to provide guidance on a range of mental health issues, from mild to complex.

My main goal is to help you feel equipped and comfortable in carrying out your clinical work, whether you are still in training or have already qualified. I aim to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve lasting changes for your clients, while also helping you grow and develop in your clinical work and therapeutic knowledge.

I have a limited number of spaces for face-to-face clinical supervision in Birmingham. I also offer  clinical supervision online.

The sessions are 50 minutes long, and the fee varies based on your qualifications.

If you are a student or qualified psychotherapist please get in contact to find out the fees.

I'm happy to offer you a free initial conversation to better understand your clinical work needs and requirements. Please feel free to contact me to find out how I can best support you.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
