Supervision details
I offer reflective, supportive and clinically focussed supervision for trainee psychologists and psychotherapists. My main modalities are third wave CBT, particularly ACT and CFT. Alongside this, I use existential and humanistic approaches.
My approach is warm, collaborative and integrative, helping trainees think psychologically about their client work while also supporting their professional development, confidence and wellbeing. I aim to create a space where trainees feel able to think openly, develop their clinical voice and grow in confidence as practitioners.
I also offer a space for trainees or qualified professionals to think about developing a professional identity and setting up in private practice. This is something rarely covered in formal training, and having run my own independent practice since 2018, I am happy to support colleagues in thinking through these aspects of the profession.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
