As a supervisor, my role is to help you develop your own unique therapeutic style and voice.
Supervision with me is collaborative and reflective. A space for us to create an alliance that best serves you as the practitioner, both where you are now and where you want to be.
What I offer Supervisees
Relational dynamics and unconscious processes are a large part of how I approach supervision and clinical work. I draw on Transactional Analysis as my main modality, as well as integrating other theory including psychodynamic and attachment-based models.
Support I offer includes reflecting on client work, exploring ethical dilemmas and complex clinical decisions, transferential dynamics, and symbolism.
I work with supervisees seeing both individual clients and couples, and aim to balance depth of reflection with clear, grounded clinical thinking.
Alongside client work, I can support you with academic writing, professional development, and the ongoing challenge of integrating theory into lived practice.
I also offer a space to think about the practical realities of private practice, including contracting, pricing, and marketing, so that your professional identity develops with coherence and confidence.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
