Supervision details
Thank you for checking out my supervisor profile.
I offer clinical supervision that is professional, grounded and genuinely collaborative. I pride my supervisory practice on being down-to-earth, ethically robust, and safe — creating a space where you can think clearly, professionally breathe, reflect honestly and develop confidently.
Clinically, I am experienced as an integrative trained and trauma informed counsellor. I have trained as a clinical supervisor and have both private practice and organisational experience including team leadership, safeguarding and clinical governance. As a counsellor and supervisor I am trained to deliver and adapt these services both in person and remotely.
I believe supervision should feel containing, not intimidating. It should stretch you without shaming you. My aim is to provide a steady, structured and reflective environment where you feel both supported and constructively challenged.
My Approach to supervision
My style is relational, trauma-informed and integrative. I work with the whole practitioner — not just the case material. That means we consider:
- Clinical formulation and intervention planning
- Ethical decision-making
- Risk assessment and safeguarding
- Transference and countertransference
- Vicarious trauma and practitioner wellbeing
- Professional identity and development
Supervision with me is active and thoughtful. I will aim to ask reflective questions, offer psychological insight, and where appropriate, provide guidance — while always respecting your autonomy and professional judgement.
I believe supervision works best when it feels like a professional partnership built on openness and trust.
I am fortunate to have had great supervision whilst being a counsellor and adapt this to my own clinical supervision manner in a down to earth, relaxed and attuned approach.
Whether you are experienced or new as a therapist, I am able to support, coach and consult with you to professionally navigate your practice and caseload.
EMDR Europe
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
