Supervision details
You might be looking for a new supervisor because something isn't quite working, even if it's hard to put into words.
Often, supervisees come to me carrying a quiet sense that they should know what they're doing by now, yet still find themselves questioning sessions, second-guessing decisions, or wondering whether they've missed something important. From the outside, things may look perfectly fine. Yet sessions stay with you afterwards, doubts linger, or there are parts of the work that never quite make it into supervision.
It's often these subtle, harder-to-name parts of therapeutic work that I find most valuable to explore together.
The supervision space
Sometimes what’s needed is simply the opportunity to slow things down and think more carefully about what’s actually happening in the work.
That might include:
- a client who’s stayed on your mind
- work that feels heavy or unclear
- relational dynamics that are difficult to name
Over time, supervisees often find they feel:
- clearer in their thinking
- less alone in the work
- more able to trust their own judgement
- less pressure to have all the answers
My approach is relational and integrative, drawing on different perspectives depending on what's most useful in the moment.
I don’t see supervision as a space for quick answers or purely procedural discussion. Instead, I offer an unhurried environment where we can think together about the complexity of the work.
About me
Alongside supervision, I continue to work clinically within NHS services and private practice. This helps keep our conversations grounded in the realities of therapeutic work: uncertainty, complexity, relational challenges, and the moments where even experienced therapists can find themselves questioning what they're doing.
I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision.
Practicalities

- Concessions: £40 per hour for trainee counsellors requiring fortnightly supervision

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
