Supervision details
After many years working with clients and for local charities supporting both trainee and qualified counsellors, I decided to train in Clinical Supervision to further offer support to other practitioners.
I have a highly relational approach - both to counselling and supervision - and, as a supervisor, work within the frame of Shohet and Hawkins' Seven-eyed model.
I provide support to trainees and newly qualified counsellors, those in the early years of their practice, or experienced practitioners, and am committed to providing a safe environment within which supervisees feel known, understood, challenged and encouraged, and are supported to develop in their skills and confidence along the way.
If it helps to know a bit about my counselling approach, I come from a person-centred, integrative modality and generally work longer term with clients with a focus on building good therapeutic relationship. I have a varied practice, often working with those who have experienced emotional neglect/abuse or relational trauma, and those struggling with low self-esteem or wanting to explore core beliefs or behaviour patterns.
I work predominantly with neurodivergent adults (mainly ADHD/AuDHD individuals) having undertaken additional training to do so, both therapeutically and as an ADHD Coach.
I also carry an additional Diploma in working with Spirituality, so hold a biopsychosocialspiritual frame, and have undertaken training with Cruse Bereavement Care in working with grief and loss.
For individual supervision, my fees are currently £60 for 1 hour, or I offer a slightly reduced rate of £80 for a full 1.5 hours. (Further reduced fees may be available for trainees on placement).
