Supervision details
Successful supervision starts with finding the right fit: a supervisor you feel safe with and can talk to honestly. I offer a free initial consultation to see whether my approach suits you.
I offer clinical supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. My experience spans NHS health psychology, educational settings, counselling organisations, and my private practice;
In my experience as a counsellor, I understand the complexities of practice across different settings. Good supervision provides a safe space to step back and reflect on your therapeutic relationship with clients.
I work integratively, using the Seven-Eyed model of supervision. My main aim is to improve the quality of your work with clients through a contracted, professional relationship in which you feel supported, safe, and able to take risks, and in which challenge and reflection keep the work stimulating and motivating.
I am integratively trained and hold a PG Cert in EMDR. I am also completing my Master's in Psychology, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing. I also hold a foundation degree in teaching and learning support that can further support your supervision, as well as experience lecturing on an introduction to counselling at a local University.
I aim to nurture your competence and creativity without judgement, helping you become the most effective therapist you can be, work skilfully and ethically, and develop your own therapeutic style. Supervision also upholds a duty of care to your clients and ensures ethical and legal practice.
Please get in touch to find out more or to arrange an initial conversation to see if we're a good fit.
I'm currently completing advanced clinical supervision training and am offering a discounted rate during this period.
Costs for Supervision are £50 per hour or £65 for 1.5 hours (discounts are offerd to trainee counsellors)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
